Where did 2016 go!?!

Summer 2016 has kept us more than busy and we’re showing no signs of slowing down!
With the addition of our newest shooter/editor, Mitchell, it was time to move to a larger office. Wait, did you say new shooter?! That’s right, Message in a Bottle Productions has a team of 4 full time shooter/editors, including Justin! With such a team and the growth we’re seeing, not only did we need office space, but the new MIABP headquarters features a 2000sqft studio, as well as a comfortable consultation space for meeting clients and discussing their projects!.

While moving into the new office, we were also gearing up for our yearly trip to DisneyWorld for the Cheerleading & Dance Worlds, which consists of 7 days of non-stop filming and editing, but the prep for Worlds begins weeks before the event, with promo hype videos and in the weeks following, edits for ESPN and social media platforms.

As soon as we arrived home, we hit the ground running with weddings every weekend, complete with highlight films within a few days of each couple’s amazing celebration. As temperatures rise, weddings slow a bit and make way for a month-long tour of events around the country, where we shoot, edit and deliver several videos from each stop within a few weeks of location wrap. Mix in a few birthday parties and gender reveals, a handful of real estate videos, a documentary or two and a music video and you’re about caught up. But we’re not! We still have a full schedule of weddings to keep us busy until the end of the year.

No matter how busy we are, its always fun to take a break and hang out with our friends that we share the Memphis market with. Check out our highlight video below from Simply Delicious’s tasting at The Memphis Zoo!

We’d like to thank our wonderful clients and fellow industry professionals, you make what we do that much more enjoyable and we’re happy to serve you!

2016 Wedding Reel!

2015 was an AMAZING year at Message in a Bottle. We grew in style, confidence and end product.  Our 2016 Wedding Reel is a culmination of many of our favorite moments from our 2015 weddings.  We are so proud of the growth we have accomplished and the stories of love we have captured in time for our clients.  Take a look at our new reel and feel the power of the video medium in capturing the essence of love.

Thank you to all of our amazing couples in 2015 (and before) who trusted us to tell your stories and capture the memories of your wedding day.  Without you, none of this would be possible.

Without further ado, our 2016 Wedding Reel:

The Year of the Bottle and Looking Ahead

Wow!  We called 2015 “The Year of the Bottle” and it was just that!  It seems like the entire way that we do business changed last year.  We moved to a fantastic new delivery method to future proof your videos, we updated our gear and styles, upgraded our logoMessage in a Bottle Productions, and expanded into providing video services for several new industries.  The only thing I can think of that didn’t change is the level of customer service we offer.  Since the beginning my goal has been to provide quality video services, at affordable prices, with quick delivery times.  I like to say that we love what we do and we hope it shows in each and every video from our wedding stories to our real estate video listings.

I couldn’t be more proud of the team we have assembled here at Message in a Bottle Productions.  With myself, Dave, and Josh here full time committed to creating new work and increasing our range with each and every video.

This year we produced some fantastic corporate videos that really helped our clients achieve their goals.  Dave & Josh joke that I don’t know how to say no to a project, but that is because I see the possibilities and promise off all of these businesses and I just want to do my part to help propel their journey.

Looking forward 2016 is going to be a big year for this business.  We already are booking weddings at a wild pace, we have a project booked for the Summer that will take us traveling across the United States, and we are currently on the hunt for our first corporate space.  We hope to find our new location in Memphis soon and look forward to the joys and challenges moving into a new home bring us.

Thank you for believing in us!  Thank you for supporting us!  Thank you for trusting us to capture your events!  We couldn’t have made it this far in the journey without YOU and the future looks bright and in focus!

Special Summer Wedding

When Sonia’s dad contacted me about filming his daughter’s wedding in July I knew it was going to be special.  A few days later when I met Sonia and Russ my suspicions were confirmed to be correct.  This wedding started on the rooftop of the Madison where the family met to begin the celebration and some beautiful henna art was created from those involved in the wedding.  The Ceremony and Reception at Woodland hills proved to be the perfect location for this couple’s special day as their first look, ceremony, and first dance were an elite expression of love.  As if this wedding wasn’t awesome enough we got to work with one of our favorite Memphis Wedding Photographers.  The one, the only Rob Lyons of Rob Lyons Photography .  Our team of videographers and Rob’s photo skills captured the memories of this wedding that this couple will use forever to remember such an amazing day.  Sonia and Russ, thank you for trusting us to capture such a special day for you.  We have their preview trailer ready, and we look forward to editing their full story in the next few weeks!

We feel so lucky to provide wedding videography for Memphis, TN and the Mid-South area.  We love what we do and we hope that it shows in each and every video.   Watch this couple’s wedding trailer and see if you agree!
